Ron Crowley was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1954 and raised in nearby Somersworth. He earned an undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire (Durham) at a time when its English Department faculty included such award-winning novelists as Thomas Williams, Mark Smith, and John Yount as well as Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Donald Murray. During the 1980s, he married, started a family, and worked as a successful trial attorney in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire. He became disillusioned with the legal profession, which came as a surprise to him but no one else. Seeking a bit of fun and adventure far from that maddening crowd, he became an internationally-renowned golf-journalist, -historian, and -photographer (www.thecrowleycollection.com). His last position in that field was editor-in-chief of Luxury Golf Homes & Resorts magazine, a sister publication of Robb Report. Antsy yet again, Crowley has moved to New York City, where he now writes fiction on a full-time basis.
